Properties and uses:

Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaner EQ-501 is a low pH liquid formulation for removal of metal hydroxides, calcium carbonate, and other salt scaling, which is suitable for aromatic polyamide reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, hollow fibre membranes, and sodium filtration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF); the excellent cleaning effect can prolong the operating time of the membrane.

• Liquid agent, can shorten the mixing time, can be dissolved with water in any proportion

• Exlen Membrane Cleaner is suitable for all aromatic polyamide and acetate membranes, low-foam formulation

Usage Method:

• According to the water quality analysis report and the system to calculate a suitable concentration, usually the acidic reverse osmosis cleaning agent is added to the cleaning tank, the general Exlenwater technical engineers recommend the concentration of 5–10%.

• Check and rinse the entire RO cleaning system to keep clean.

• Cleaning after the cause of contamination should be analysed, and make the appropriate pre-treatment of the defensive measures.

• In the cleaning process, the temperature of the cleaning fluid should be maintained in the requirements of the temperature range (25–35°C).

• For multi-section RO systems, each section should be cleaned separately to get better results. If the cleaning solution becomes turbid or the PH value is out of the recommended range, the cleaning solution has to be reformulated or supplemented with an acidic reverse osmosis cleaning agent, and the system should be flushed with the RO production water before being put into operation again.
