Application

When cleaning fouled membranes ‘off-line’, Genesol 32 should be dosed at 1,000 -1,500mg/l for 6-8 hours. Following use, the membranes should be flushed and cleaned using an alkaline detergent such as Genesol 36 or Genesol 40. When used ‘on-line’ Genesol 32 should be dosed at 700-1,000mg/l for 8-12 hours once every 5 to 21 days depending on the severity of the fouling. Genesol 32 has good biostatic properties and can be used for membrane preservation and storage as per the guidelines below:

24-36 hours 300mg/l = 0.03%

36-168 hours 500mg/l = 0.05%

1-4 weeks 800mg/l = 0.08%

1-6 months 1000mg/l = 0.1%

>6 months drain & refill every 6 months

Genesol 32 can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions.

Health and Safety

Genesol 32 is an aqueous solution containing mixed isothiazolinones. It is corrosive to carbon steel and certain other alloys so all pumps, pipe-work and tanks should be made from acid resistant material. Observe all safety precautions shown in the material safety data sheet, available on request.

Available in 25 kg kegs and 200 kg drums.

The shelf life is 12 months under normal storage conditions.
